For over seventy years, Bath Gilbert and Sullivan Society has been appreciating, performing and promoting the works of one of musical theatre’s most successful and enduring partnerships. Between 1871 and 1896 WS Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan produced 13 comic operas which are still regularly staged throughout the English speaking world and beyond. The Society is affiliated to NODA and the national Gilbert and Sullivan Society.
Our busy and enjoyable schedule includes concerts, plays, old time music hall nights, talks, film showings, charity and social events. The season culminates in a fully staged production at the end of May and normally ends with a programme of charity concerts in late June, early July.
Following our very successful production of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE last November, and our acclaimed THE MAGIC OF THE MUSIC HALL at The Mission Theatre on 1 & 2 March 2019, we will be commencing rehearsals on Friday 26 April for our next fully staged production - IOLANTHE. This will be presented at The Mission Theatre from 3 - 7 December. Follow this link for more details.
