For over seventy years, Bath Gilbert and Sullivan Society has been appreciating, performing and promoting the works of one of musical theatre’s most successful and enduring partnerships. Between 1871 and 1896 WS Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan produced 13 comic operas which are still regularly staged throughout the English speaking world and beyond. The Society is affiliated to NODA and the national Gilbert and Sullivan Society.
Our busy and enjoyable schedule includes concerts, plays, old time music hall nights, talks, film showings, charity and social events. The season culminates in a fully staged production at the end of May and normally ends with a programme of charity concerts in late June, early July.
We started our 2015-2016 season in October with a 'scratch' Mikado at Westbury Festival, followed by an animated concert version in November. Our main stage production this season is Princess Ida in June 2016. Visit our galleries page for some pictures from our previous performances!
